A Perfect Form of Government

If I could create a perfect world for my family and I to live in, I would have a minimalist government. Both the government and the society would be centered around service to one another, so we could be bonded more tightly and have security. I think that a major flaw in our government (and our society) is money. I believe that what is one person's should be shared by another person(s) as well, to a point. If we could share our possessions freely, no one would be poor, and no one would be rich. We would simply serve others generously, and help others requiring nothing in return.

The main principles would look something like this:

  • All men are created equal (Declaration of Independence)
  • All men have unalienable rights: Life, Liberty, The Pursuit of Happiness, and I would like to add Quiet Time and Wearing What They Want to Wear as Long as They Wear Something Modest.
  • Decisions will be made by :
  1. Brainstorming and making a list of options
  2. Debate (if necessary)
  3. A vote
  • Those who transgress the family rules will be punished according to the severity of their actions
  • Cruel and unusual punishments are not acceptable and will not be tolerated
  • Creativity and imagination are encouraged and accepted
  • There will be no poor among us, for what is one person's shall be shared by another, although permission given of the main possessor should always be required. Everyone should be generously willing to share possessions with each other. Any disputes will be settled by the head of the family or by family discussion, depending on the severity or value of the object.
